STATE OF FLORIDA OFFERS NEW RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

OUR Florida, Florida’s federally-funded emergency rental assistance relief program to support residents and businesses as they continue to recover and rebuild, is now accepting applications for families in need of aid to pay their rent. CFPB ANNOUNCES EVICTION ASSISTANCE

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has released new information regarding possible temporary avoidance of evictions.

HELP MAY BE AVAILABLE TO HELP WITH EVICTION PREVENTION

Pinellas County Emergency Rent Assistance Program

Pinellas County received $21.4 million to implement the federal Emergency Rental Assistance Program. The County is currently working on getting the program operational. Residents can sign up to receive text message updates about the program by texting pinellasrent to 888777.

Residents facing imminent eviction can contact any of the three non-profit legal agencies in Pinellas County, which also have access to limited rental assistance funds: Pinellas Community Law Program: (727) 582-7402; Gulfcoast Legal Services: (727) 821-0726; Bay Area Legal Services: (800) 625-2257. More information is also available on Pinellas County’s website.

In order to see if you qualify you need to first call “211”.  By calling “211” they will be able to begin the process of seeing if you qualify.
